Recipes: Small acorn squash, like spaghetti squash, can be cooked whole. Pierce the squash which prevents the skin/shell from bursting during baking. Put the squash in a baking dish and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 325 degrees. Test for doneness by squeezing the shell - when it gives a bit with pressure, the squash is ready.
As an alternative, you can also cut the squash in half, clean out the seeds, season to your taste and bake as in the picture.
